On November 4, Portland’s MERC Commission is scheduled to approve a contract with Sun Edison to install and operate a 1.25 megawatt solar power panel project on the south roof of Oregon Convention Center.
Combined with OCC’s purchase of renewable power through PGE and participation in NW Natural’s Smart Energy Program, the solar panel project allows OCC to operate over 50% on renewable power sources, one of the first among convention centers in the country.
